I was at a hair dressers which seemed to be right on the sea.

The person who usually cut my hair was not there so I had a new person who like me had a receding hairline.

I sat in the chair and I asked him for a trim.

The place was very busy and large, there were lots of people doing all kinds of other things than cutting hair.

I noticed as I sat in the chair in front of the mirror, I did not see my reflection in it. In fact the mirror seemed to reflect nothing, although I sensed a reflection of another world. Somewhere natural, like a mountain world.

The man cutting my hair was quite large but friendly.

He cut my hair well but left it too long at the front but I didn’t say anything.

Later I came back and asked him to fix it but he wasn’t there. Instead there was another man, who seemed to be the owner of the hairdressers. We spoke about something which had nothing to do with hair at all. But he seemed to fix the bit I thought was too long simply by looking at it. He then looked at me as if trying to communicate a thought, or for me to notice the world outside of the hairdressers, and I then noticed in the corner of my eye another dream. I turned and saw the ocean, a beach. It was one of those grey, melancholy days and I walked towards it, with that nice feeling you get when you’ve just had your haircut, and everything feels like it’s been reset, or that the world is new, and anything is possible.
